This is one of the funnest dresses I own; I kept interrupting this shoot just to twirl in it! Everything from the bright color to the bell sleeves to the off-the-shoulder cut makes me wanna dance. I love when my clothes take me out of myself and put me in a vibe; to me, that's what clothes are made for! As mama Ru Paul says, "we're born naked, the rest is drag!" I think of all clothes as costumes that either relay our current mood (ie: sweats when I'm feeling crappy or too comfortable to give a crap, a pretty dress when I'm feeling my best, etc.) or transports us to a different vibe that elevates our mood (ie: rocking a pretty dress when I'm not feeling my best; my mama taught me that even if you can't feel good you can at least look good!). This dress is definitely a feel good dress, it puts me in a playful mood that results in an extra swing in my hips, a skip in my step and a song in my head that keeps me smiling all day long!
